Arriving
in a new country can be overwhelming. Finding an area in which you
would like to live, choosing your accommodation, hiring domestic help
and paying bills are just some of the practical issues that need to
be dealt with when first moving to a new location.
Since
most arriving expats cannot speak Thai, getting around to acquaint
yourself with your new environment can be a difficult task. This will
provide you with information on what to bring on your shipment if
you have not yet arrived, as well as the most common areas in which
expats choose to live. It will also help you with visa information
and offer suggestions in choosing domestic staff. As for your arrival
in Pattaya or any of its surrounding areas, do not be discouraged
if you feel a bit lost at first

Thailand has a good network
of well maintained roads and highways between all main centers.
Much of the north-south route is dual carriage way. Road signage
follows international convention and is in both Thai and English.
Night driving is not recommended on the open road due to heavy
truck traffic, who tend to have a poor respect for cars. Motor
bikes can on occasion be a hazard, particularly as they are
often ridden into oncoming traffic.
